The Isolated Island
The May-as people have always been farmers. They have cultivated the fertile land of Sibuyan Island for generations, growing rice, corn, vegetables, and fruits. They have enjoyed a peaceful life on the island, largely unaffected by the last world war and insurgency.

But a series of droughts and pests have plagued the island, destroying what little harvest the farmers could salvage. Hunger and disease have spread among the people, leaving them weak and desperate.
